2019 camp sessions
Day 2: Saturday
1:40PM – 3:40PM ET
Hall B
Pattern Games Lab
Experience Level: All
These popular games from Control Unleashed allow dogs to initiate a predictable, reliable behavior chain that helps ‘normalize’ challenging environments so they can focus confidently on their work. The patterns are easy and quickly effective. Once you get the idea, you and your dog can create your own!
Day 3: Sunday
9:00AM – 10:40AM ET
Hall E
Voluntary Sharing Lab
Experience Level: All
If your dog has resource guarding behaviors, or simply wants all the turns, Voluntary Sharing is for you. This training game teaches the dog a ‘start button’ behavior so that he can control when the other dog gets a resource— from treats, to tugging, to doing agility obstacles.
Day 3: Sunday
1:40PM – 3:30PM ET
Hall E
Requested Approach Training Lab
Experience Level: All
This lab will present exercises to enable dogs to be in the driver’s’ seat of their own counterconditioning program; it will also give them control over whether something can approach or not, and whether they are ready to approach something or not. Bonus – “Which One?” game which lets the dog choose which thing he is going to use for his RAT training (which person, which dog, which stuffed animal, and which reinforcer he would like).
